Questions you might have about hypnosis & coaching sessions

How long does it take?

Each hypnosis session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, we ask you block of a full 2 hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.

What does it feel like?

The experience feels different for everyone. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like - it’s working. I promise.

How does it work?

Hypnosis is not magic - it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM. That’s what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too!

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue?

What makes this approach amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients, they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.

What if I go back to scenes that are painful or scary?

If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it and that you are safe. I
will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal - you’ll be OK.

When will I start to see changes?

There are 3 types of change when it comes to hypnotherapy - every
person is different:
i. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away - immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors right in the session.
ii. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
iii. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.

What if I need or want another session?

My sessions are designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life. Some clients may need more than one session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is, it can take up to 3. Most want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life and receive coaching to integrate the new beliefs and build new habits and behaviors. For these reasons, I offer long-term coaching engagements, designed specifically for each individual client.

What is the difference between a hypnosis and a coaching session?

While you can chose which approach suits your healing best, hypnosis and coaching sessions are very different, and I advise my clients do do both as they are very complimentary to each other for healing. Hypnosis sessions work with your subconscious mind, this is where we reprogram/re-wire the client's subconscious beliefs, remove limiting mental blocks and create new mindsets of client's choice. On the other hand, the coaching sessions work with your conscious mind, helping uncover layers that are hiding the client's root cause. Coaching helps to integrate new beliefs. A lot of times after a hypnosis session clients start to uncover other aspects of their lives that the root cause has affected and see life and themselves completely differently. I hold space for them after the session to reflect and see all the things that are now changing in their lives, and also to learn how to be in this new belief set they’ve created, and how to integrate it into other parts of their life. We look at desires, change for the future and moving towards it. I help clients create a strategy for life and sustain momentum forward/ no relapsing into old belief systems/old ways of thinking.
